Privacy Policy
FlyFishly is a small, independently run site. This page explains, plainly, what happens to your information when you use it: what we collect, what we don't, and what happens if you submit a photo.
Browsing FlyFishly
Reading articles, using the trip planner, and browsing the site does not require an account and does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. FlyFishly does not run analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers of its own.
Like any web server, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (things like IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) for security and operational purposes. This is routine web hosting behavior, not something FlyFishly collects or analyzes directly.
Cookies
FlyFishly does not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking. If you visit the photo pages (see below), the third-party library that powers them may store small amounts of technical data in your browser so that page can function. That data is not used to track you elsewhere or build an advertising profile.
You're always free to block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Doing so will not limit your access to FlyFishly's articles or tools.
Submitting a Photo
FlyFishly's photo pages let anglers submit their own fish photos for possible inclusion in a public feed. If you submit a photo, we collect the image itself along with whatever details you enter in the form: species, water type, an optional river name, and an optional caption. We don't require a name, email, or account to submit.
Submissions are reviewed before they appear publicly. Once approved, a photo and its details are visible to anyone who visits that page, so please don't include names, exact locations, or other personal or identifying information in a caption.
Photos and their details are stored and served through a third-party backend provider. We don't control that provider's own internal data practices, but we do control what appears on FlyFishly and can remove a submission on request.
Affiliate Links
Some gear links on FlyFishly are affiliate links, including through the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Once you leave FlyFishly through one of these links, the destination site's own privacy policy applies, not ours.

Children's Privacy
FlyFishly isn't directed at children, and the photo submission form isn't intended for use by children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted a photo or personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Policy Updates
This page may be updated as the site changes. Meaningful changes to what we collect or how it's used will be reflected here, with the date below kept current.
